When I told my insurance I told them the SMIC was knackered, due to being 5yrs old, and 65K on the car,. To replace at SEAT with a SEAT part was stupidly silly money, this was a cheap alternative at It cost me £130!!.... Adrian Flux said no extra charge!

Plus the fact it is another standard part not a performance part is an important detail to state to them..

Its a deviation from the manufacturers standard spec, therefore its a modification. I wouldnt **** with flux, theyve nailed my ass in the past and now ive got a nice blacklisting next to my name.

When I see my renewals every year I wish id just coughed up the extra premium, ive paid it 10x over now!

Thats different M0rky buddy... lol

One is a Subaru turbo, the other is a Renault Laguna Diesel intercooler... principle the same but c'mon now... lol

When I told the lady I was fitting a Renault Laguna Diesel Intercooler to my car to replace my dying SEAT one (due to the price)... she nearly laughed..and said... let me check...

I think she really wanted to go 'powder her nose' due to laughing so hard, but came back and said.. there is no charge for that...

 :D

I have informed them of everything, its not my fault if they do not charge me

I'd ask flux for anything in writing, hard proof then. Theyre total *******s when it comes to worming out of stuff.... suddenly become very forgetful.

Looks really good, £290 is a bloody great, what bhp are you at? How long does it take the TT Shop to get the pipes and how long did it take them to fit it?

Havent been RR'd yet so not sure, prob around 210 -215, waiting for the d/p and cat until I stage 2 it and then hope to be at the SCN RR in MK with around 220-230?
Give Alex a ring on 01234 853225, or vagtech could also order them in for you.
Using Flash's guide on here you get the pipe sizes etc you need although I found that they dont do a 135 degree reducer so I had to get (iirc) a 63mm 135 degree elbow, a 63mm joiner and then a 63-51 reducer instead.
Delivery only takes a couple of days, sometimes if you order before 12 its next day ;)

edit: pipes were £120 not including extra bit of alloy tubing or jubilee clips

Definately best to be honest and as Jonzy says get things in writing whoever you're with :)

total vag ltd
you wouldnt have much comeback if you were strandard somewhere without the ability to be towed

or if your car jumped out of the rollers because it wasnt tied down properly

it looks good but i wouldnt have sacrificed my tow eye. its a risk you take, for years iv never needed one but iv never had an accident either, but i never drive without insurance

just goes to show how good the boys from vagtech are:clap:  ,i wouldnt trust anybody else with my car,if you want the job done right then get the right people to do it!!!!

Im living in MK at the moment so its easy enough to get to, moving to london soon but will still be using them, as they always do everything 110%, plus they make a cracking cuppa

Basically the bracket for the towing eye needed about 3mm taken off the corner to fit, so its not much modding really, but best to speak to them if you want it done :)

I have a Laguna intercooler, and all the silicone and metal pipework as suggested by Flash. I even have the hose joiners and jubilee clips but lack of know-how to get it on and get it central. As I'm down in Devon it's dificult knowing where to go but I just found out Vagtech are 12 miles from my Gran's house, time to visit Granny I think

well done!

hello, the laguna intercooler looks so so much better being centrally located, well done to you nogutsnoglory for being the first to accomplish this it looks sweet:clap: , i am certainly interested in this mod myself now, as for sure that it can be made to sit right in the bumper.will prob use vagtech myself.

could anybody provide me with the renault part no for the dci intercooler?

and where is the best place to buy the silicone hose kit as a complete package?

cheers for your help!\ sorry to sort of hijack thread a little lol
