Garage have said there are a couple of bits that will need replacing before the next MOT:

- left and right wishbones inc. bushes
- fr d bushes

Quoted £500 inc labour and VAT

Have since found a decent mobile mechanic who can do it.

Questions:

- presumably worth getting wishbones with ball joints: https://m.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/1ml407151

- fr d bushes presumably means front droplink bushes, but might as well change entire droplinks surely?

The bushes are integral to the drop links though?

That's bloody expensive either way, where are you located?

Exactly, so I'm assuming they'd change the actual droplinks.

I'm in Manchester. Was given a tour underneath the car and they do need doing, by not at those prices. My guy will do it for £100 if I get the parts

Don’t forget to get the tracking done as well with new wishbones as the tracking will be out after work is done and did they not mean the d bushes on the anti roll bar not the drop links ?

They might well have done. To be honest, there doesn't feel to be any problems and there are no knocks and its MOT isn't until July. So I'll just get the wishbones done and see how it does in the summer.

The tracking is out anyway and I'm getting the alloys refurbished next at a place that has a Hunter, so I'll get them to adjust afterwards.
