Do you have a front ARB which goes over your drive shaft? If you go to low, you need the one which goes under the drive shaft.

Yeh standard one over the driveshaft, was wondering if anyone had any experience with Whiteline or alternative?

Thanks mate :) I will keep updating, gonna piss about with the stance a bit and then interior, need some LCR black bits to make it feel a bit more sporty inside!

That sounds like a good shout Ravi, might just chop it out too if it gets bad, have an inkling it may not be the arb though, possibly just the inside of the wheel being too close to the perch on the coilovers haha, so may need to get some 15mm spacers or something - will inspect this weekend! Stretch isn't too bad, it's a 235/40 over a 9.5" rim, looks quite neat haha :D

Cheers mate :D

Would definitely have it lower on the rear but would be sat on the tyres haha (as it was first time I took it off the axle stands!) like a bit if poke so can't be doing lower :(

Meet sounds good, occasionally go to my girlfriends parents caravan down near Southampton so will let you know when I next am.

Will meet some other time as I'm actually at Thorpe Park all day Sunday - should be interesting: weekend AND bank holiday it's going to be soooo busy

I may need a chance to sort the spacing out at the front end anyway before doing a long drive, don't know of any tuning shops that will sell spacers and are actually open on a weekend do you?

Low FR - Small Update

Pissed about with spacers a bit, now have 20mm on the front, 10mm's will be tucking on the rear so awaiting 15mm ones now so I can drop it but still have a bit of poke :funk:

Bolt from droplink to lower arm shat itself too so will be replacing that tonight then off to Krispy Kreme for a meet :D

On the look out for an LCR being broken to find black headlining!

Like the car, looking good... Did the 15mm spacers work at the front, mines not as low as yours but still rubbing a bit, can't work out why... Got 60mm left of the threads...

I used the FK front ARB to sort the drive train issue.. It was making a terrible noise when I fitted them to start with.. The larger hoops gives plenty of clearance.. It's just the occasional rub on the arch lining now

that rubbing will be the shafts hitting the chassis and calls for a chassis notch were they cut a gap in your chassis to accomdate the shafts

No idea why yours is rubbing mate  my standard arb is well clear of the driveshafts, and now I've fitted a new droplink-lower arm bolt it's knock free :D

I imagine 15mm spacers would be fine up front, I will be putting them on the back when they actually show up as 20mm on the rear was making the arches dig in to the tyres over big bumps! Can't be arsed to roll my arches so a 5mm step should hopefully look decent but not rub  might have to find some camber kit info if it scrubs to buggery though

Went to Homegrown meet at Krispy Kreme last night - set out in convoy with 2 A6's, a 944, a Boxster S, a 1275 Mini & a 3 series - was a good laugh just wish i'd got some photos but shoddy iphone battery screwed me over [:@]

Cheers for the reply, when i jacked it up te other day there seemed to be room, just a small hole in the arch lining.. It sounds like it did when it was on the arch lining. That was uncomfortably low.. It only rubs drivers side when turning hard right, or full lock right.. I just assumed it was my weight making the difference and I needed to up another few mm. My wishbones are lvl now so it's not silly low anymore (I am 31 after all lol)..

You still think it's the chassis?

I've just looked up the coillies, if I have 60mm on the threads the cars dropped by 50mm... I know 50mm plus causes the drive shaft issues, but surely my tyres shouldn't be rubbing arch lining on 17" with that drop

My last car I just did the springs so never had these issues... Problem is they look an handle so much better low.. Cheers for that, good to know about the 20mm.. I was gonna go for those, so 15's it is..

Sounds good, always a laugh having a play on the way too lol

I think the chassis notch stuff only comes in to play if you're really low, which by the sounds of it you're not.

Something doesn't seem right there, have you had a thorough look about when the car is on the ground? Give everything a good tug and make sure nothings gone awry!

I've got soooo much clearance on the front's and that's with 18's and 8.5" wide, it's dropped 50mm too but will be going lower at the weekend and can't foresee any rubbing at all.

Let me know how you get on!
