Hi folks,

I have a 53 reg '04 ARL Leon FR 150 and would like to know whether or not it has the PD engine in it. Is there any way to tell or somewhere I can look to find out?

Sorry if it was a noob question but I am a complete noob and would of used search had I been at a computer but I posted via my phone. Which is hard enough in itself.
I had a feeling it was a PD but somebody was today arguing that mine was not likely a PD so I can now stick my tongue out and say it is :)

ARL is a PD engine. It should look like this if you take the engine cover off

All the fuel lines are soft plastic or neoprene rubber and there is no high-pressure distributor pump driven off the cambelt. Injection pressure is developed by the unit injector on top of each cylinder.

PD 130 engines should look similar, but without the boost pipe going across in front of the engine - the PD 130 has a side-mounted intercooler.

The older, non-PD engines look like this (this is an ASV)

The distributor pump is at the front left of the picture and has steel tubes leading from it to the injectors.
