rainsport 2 are brilliant. thats what im running. even a suprising amount of grip in the snow. (although i dropped about 5psi out of each tyre for the weather)

Dropping psi is not always better for snow.

The Pirreli pzero rosso i have are great. Nice looking wheels too, cant wait to see them on.

Dropping tyre pressures is an ancient trick used by trials cars to get better grip in mud. Won't help on the road. In snow, higher pressures are sometimes of use to get the tread pattern to cut into the snow more effectively. On ice, nothing helps. Well, maybe studs. Or an anchor.

Mucking about with tyre pressures is a good way to cause an accident.

They were going to be my original choice purely because of how good they're supposed to be in the wet and snow. But then there was a thread on this forum about Best tyres and contact 3s came top, or near, partly cause of how gud they are in the wet as well and when I priced them up they're not that much dearer.

Cheers mate! I'll check those tyres out.

What J are they ?

They're 9j mate, couldn't brave the 9.5 in the end! Oh also, I'm right in thinking you tested your wheels on wood blocks right?!?! Starting to get worried about what to put between wheel and wood so I dont put all the pressure on one spot.

Don't think Leon arches can be rolled I have et38 on the rear of mine they didn't fit with a 8 mm spacer on the front , you going to need some serious stretch on those tyres to make them fit. I would say either a 215 or a 225

why?!?! Your rears fit a 9.5j with a 8 mil spacer, Your et is 38 so would only need 5 mill spacer for 9.5 and I'm only 9? What have I missed?

Hmmmm.... Gutted, I'll have look tomoz I guess. Wanted 235s on there tbh as well but nvm. So if your offset is 23 with 8mill spacer ur lookin at ET15 so for me would be 20 mill spacer on a 9.5j. I found a website that told me how much these new wheels would poke out each side and it looked pretty even on both sides. So could I not guesstimate that I'd save about 10 mill Inside and out?! Is that completely stupid? I already know it's partly stupid.
