Had a few requests for this and a few pm messages so ive mashed this quick guide together
Ive seen some people buy all the cables etc seperate, but i found it alot cheaper to buy an amp wiring kit as everything is there that you need
My guide is based on using 0AWG cable, and an alloy battery cage
What you need
First thing i did was mount the cage/tray in the boot, this is down to you how you do it.
1. Remove the fuse box from the battery
2. Remove the battery from the car
3. Cut the original (+) terminal off the cable and put this cable into the distribution block
4. The standard (-) cable runs from the gearbox and bolts to the chassis, then from the chassis to battery, Follow the standard (-) wire to where it bolts to the chassis and remove this part of the wire
Leave the 2nd part of the wire from the chassis connected as it goes to the gearbox (this will become clear when you see it)
5. Route the power cable from your wiring kit into the car (through bulk head) to the boot
6. Now run the 8AWG power cable from the distribution block to your fusebox (the one you removed from the battery) there is a metal bracket attached to the fuse box a simple ring connector bolted to it is fine.
7. Once you have mounted your battery the way you want it attatch the new terminals to it,
I mounted mine in the spare wheel well
8. Use the new earth cable from your wiring kit and route that from the battery terminal to the boot floor (or where ever you choose to earth from)
Before bolting the cable to the boot floor obviously you need a ring connector on the end (supplied in wiring kits)
I suggest sanding the point down to the metal for best connection.
9. With the power cable allready routed from earlier attatch it to the + terminal on your battery
10. Now connect the other end of the power cable to your distribution block
Should now look like this
11. Start the car
Notes
A sharp knife will be required to trim the cables to length and strip the wires for connecting
This is just a guideline, please dont hold me responsable if you car doesnt start or something more serious happens, it worked fine for me and ive had no issues since.
