HOT SEAT IBIZA's MAKE THEIR INTERNATIONAL DEBUT

The newest additions made to the Ibiza range include cars bearing initials that have made a big name for themselves in the history of the Spanish brand, such as FR and CUPRA, and now the Bocanegra is the most recent arrival, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Ibiza’s market launch.

GIVEN TO THE NEW IBIZA 5-DOOR AND SC VERSIONS

The SEAT Ibiza was the recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award in Essen yesterday in the Product Design 2009 category. This prize is a tribute to the quality, precision and innovative design of the Spanish car’s 5-door and SC versions. The 5 door version of the Ibiza received the highest distinction, the “Best of the Best” award for its high quality design, while the SC took the “Red Dot” award for outstanding quality.

MULLER, TARQUINI AND MONTEIRO ON THE PODIUM

The SEAT Sport team achieved today a great overall result in Brno, venue of the sixth meeting of the World Touring Car Championship, with three of their drivers claiming a place on the rostrum on one of the less favourable circuits for the SEAT León TDI.

Today SEAT held the foundation stone laying ceremony for the new bodywork workshop at the Martorell plant for assembly of the new Audi Q3 from 2011 onwards. The shed, ready to house the production facilities in February 2010, will be equipped with almost 300 robots, making it one of the most modern workshop of its kind in the world.

SEAT SPORT HEADS TO BRNO IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC FOR WTCC

The continuous elevation changes and sweeping bends of Brno’s circuit in the Czech Republic will host the next WTCC meeting, which is the sixth of the season, and signals the halfway mark of the championship. The SEAT Leon TDI will be put to the test on this circuit, as it is one of the most difficult venues on the WTCC calendar.

BELGIAN TOURING CAR SERIES - 12 HOURS OF SPA
The 12 Hours of Spa Francorchamps, one of the most important events of the Belgian Touring Car Series, will be the venue this weekend for a very special team made up of Pierre Yves Corthals, a Belgian regular at the championship, SEAT Sport’s World Touring Car driver Jordi Gené, and Canadian Jacques Villeneuve, 1997 Formula 1 World Champion and 1995 winner of the 500 miles at Indianapolis, who will be making his Touring Car debut in Spa.

WORLD TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP IN VALENCIA
